"And No Purple Heart" - by Frank Reese Mays ______________________________________________________________ This book is not a novel - rather a true life gripping experience __________ Read on ! This book tells the true story about the agony of war mingled with romance, as taken from the notes, combat mission log, and memory of the author as he recorded events of his experiences during WW II, starting with D-Day June 6,1944. You will meet several young ladies that came into his life near Great Ashfield and in London. Speculate the enigma of a mysterious female as she toyed with his young heart. Question the intent of a military officer with a gambling problem. Was he a spy ? Share the range of emotions of this teenager as he lived day to day in war torn England. Fly with him as he performed his duties as a Ball Turret Gunner in a B-17 Flying Fortress named the "War Horse." Feel his joy, pain, and sorrow as he made, then lost Buddies on combat missions over occupied France and Germany. Are Guardain Angels real ? What about Ghosts ? Unlike other war stories, this unique narrative, with dialog, will keep you turning pages as you wonder what possibly could happen next.
